Job description:
We are currently on the lookout for a new HR Benefits Manager to join our team at Cloudstaff, the #1 workplace everywhere!
HR Services Management:
- Provide guidance to HR teams and clients on sensitive issues like employee relations, terminations, and law compliance
- Research trends in compensation and benefits to create programs that attract and retain top talent
- Oversee EPLI claims, including document gathering and position statement development
- Oversee employment-related claims and ensure all policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws
Benefits Administration:
- Lead efforts in configuring and maintaining electronic benefits enrollment platforms
- Manage data file feeds and integrations with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators
- Monitor and maintain ACA compliance reporting, including 1095-C form generation and IRS e-filing
- Support annual benefits renewal processes by updating plan designs, rates, and eligibility rules
- Provide subject matter expertise on payroll audits for benefit deductions and ensure accurate payroll processing
- Configure and administer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and 401(k) plans
- Oversee the Benefit Specialist and the day to day contact with clients and carriers
- Confirm eligibility tracking for clients and make sure all employees are enrolled with carriers in a timely manner
- Oversee the benefit reconciliation process between the payroll platform and the carrier statements and make sure adjustments are recorded where necessary
Team Leadership:
- Partner with leadership on HR and benefits strategies to enhance recruiting, retention, and succession planning
- Develop and implement learning and development programs to grow team member skills
- Oversee and manage the full recruitment cycle for HR and benefits staff, from hiring to performance management
System and Project Management:
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors and data discrepancies by collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
- Lead benefits-related projects, including online enrollment and ACA compliance, while also preparing custom reports for stakeholders.
Qualification and requirements:
- Strong background and experience in a customer service environment
- Proven critical thinking, problem-solving, and system troubleshooting skills
- Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
- College bachelors degree in a related field and/or 8-10 years of experience in a senior-level HR/Benefits role
- SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification
- Proven experience in benefits reconciliation and administration
- Specific experience with PrismHR software a plus
- Strong knowledge of regulations and laws related to benefits administration
- Experience with EPLI claims and US Professional Employer Organization (PEO) environment
