A blockchain-based daily auction platform where users compete to feature their links on a dynamic homepage. Every 24 hours, users bid in SOL for the top spot, with the highest bidder showcased prominently. Those who didn’t make it to the top 3 at the end of the bidding can withdraw their bid amount, ensuring fairness and trust in the process.
Progreso del hackathon
Before this hackathon, our team had no prior experience with Solana or Anchor smart contract development. We came in with only the idea for a bid-to-feature platform, but we had to start from scratch to learn the Solana ecosystem. During the hackathon, we: Set up the Solana development environment (Anchor, Rust, local validator). Learned Solana account model & PDAs, which was completely new to us. Designed the core logic for a bidding system where users can place bids and top bidders get featured. Implemented smart contract functions for: Initializing escrow accounts Creating categories Placing bids Handling bidder balances and withdrawals Started building tests to simulate transactions and validate program logic. Faced challenges like account borrowing rules and PDA balance management, which gave us deeper insights into Solana’s unique programming model. Even though the platform isn’t fully complete yet, our biggest achievement is the progress from zero Solana knowledge working on a functional smart contract prototype within the hackathon timeframe. This learning curve and foundation give us confidence to complete and polish the platform after the event.

We are currently in the early development stage and have not raised external funding yet. Our focus during the hackathon has been on learning Solana and building the foundation of the platform. Going forward, we are exploring opportunities for grants, hackathon prize funding, or pre-seed investment to continue development and scale the project.
