Project Description:
Greenify is a lifestyle coaching web application that helps users build healthy, sustainable habits in their daily life. The platform allows users to sign up and log in securely using Firebase Authentication. Once logged in, users can access a personalized dashboard that offers daily habit suggestions focused on physical well-being, mental health, and eco-friendly living.
The app enables users to select habits, mark them as completed, and track their consistency through visual indicators like streaks and progress bars. Greenify encourages positive behavioral change by making habit-building simple and engaging. The design is clean, responsive, and user-friendly, suitable for people of all age groups.
The tech stack includes HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Firebase for backend services. It is deployed using GitHub Pages, making it easily accessible on the web. The project demonstrates strong front-end development, Firebase integration, and a focus on real-world impact.
Greenify aims to inspire people to make small but meaningful changes in their lifestyle that contribute to personal growth and environmental sustainability. It’s not just a habit tracker—it’s a step toward a greener and healthie
r life.
Progress During Hackathon: During the hackathon, we started by finalizing the idea of creating a lifestyle-focused habit tracker that combines wellness and sustainability. We divided the project into key parts: designing the user interface, implementing Firebase authentication, and developing habit tracking functionality. We built the frontend using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, ensuring a clean and responsive layout. Firebase was integrated to handle user sign-up and login securely. We added logic for habit suggestions, daily task tracking, and simple visual feedback to show progress. All features were tested and refined during the hackathon to ensure smooth user flow. The project was deployed using GitHub Pages for easy access and demonstration. We also prepared a demo video and documentation to explain the functionality clearly. Overall, we successfully turned our idea into a working product within the hackathon timeline, meeting both technical and creative goals. -
Self-funded: This project was developed without any external funding or sponsorship. All tools, technologies, and resources used during the hackathon were freely available or personally managed by the team.
