JOB DESCRIPTION FOR A SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST


We are looking for a creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. The responsibilities of a Social Media Specialist include attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users, execute social media strategies, and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content. The Social Media Specialist utilizes social media marketing tools to optimize social media communications and presence. The successful candidate will help build the client’s best practice process to streamline his workflow and systematize the business.


Your Responsibilities as a Social Media Specialist would be:

  • Daily and constant monitoring of all social media accounts across multiple platforms.
  • Implement and manage social media strategy.
  • Work with other marketing staff members to further promote the brand and the company.
  • Track whether social marketing efforts have been successful through goal setting with markers for identifying success through various online analytical tools.
  • Measure the success of every social media campaign.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, technologies, trends and topics.
  • Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization.
  • Escalate negative comments to appropriate internal departments using established procedures.
  • Document all escalations and provide updates, as necessary.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager and Marketing Manager on improving processes, communicating obstacles, and proposing ideas.
  • Continuously perform competitive research and monitor trends.

  • Basic computer navigation skills
  • Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience.
