Job Responsibilities:


Business Retention


  • Provide assistance with the management of a portfolio of Commercial and Domestic business, with a particular emphasis on profitable growth and excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to business retention activities. This includes:


Policy Renewal


  • Maintain a timeframe of issuing all renewals at a minimum of 3 weeks in advance before due date
  • Gathering underwriting information
  • Obtaining renewal instructions from Senior Account Executives
  • Correspondence with underwriters
  • Drafting renewal documents ensuring finalisation of new policies within timeframes and attaching applicable specifications to the proposal form part of the document. Email all draft correspondence for the clients to the Senior Account Executives
  • Ensuring that the issue of policy renewal documents, invoices and collection of premiums are effected in accordance with agreed objectives
  • Process cancellations
  • Obtain Certificate of Currency as per requests
  • Effectively plan renewal activity with other staff


Claims


  • Update system as requested
  • Liaise with Underwriters as requested


Business Development


  • Contribute to new business activities. This includes:
  • Preparing renewal and quote documentation for Senior Account Executives
  • Gathering underwriting information
  • Preparing quote slips for presentation
  • Preparing reports, recommendations and quotations for Senior Account Executives
  • Preparing proposal forms and obtaining signature from clients
  • Referring debtors to Debtors Control following issue of premium invoice

Qualifications:


  • At least 3 years of experience in insurance industry is required
  • At least 1 year of AU insurance experience is required
  • Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Has working experience in doing admin work
  • Must have strong personality, and impeccable communication skills
