Darkest Dungeon is an infinite procedural dungeon-crawling adventure where players explore randomly generated dungeons, battle enemies, collect treasures, and race to escape each level. With 3 lives and increasing difficulty, players earn Dungeon Tokens ($DGN) based on their scores, with all achievements stored on-chain as ERC721 NFTs on the Mantle blockchain. Featuring both single-player and real-time multiplayer modes supporting up to 4 players, comprehensive customization options, and modern Web3 integration, Darkest Dungeon offers endless replayability with permanent on-chain rewards.

During the Forte Hacks Hackathon, we built Darkest Dungeon, a procedural dungeon crawler with Web3 rewards. We developed the game engine with Phaser.js, implemented multiplayer using Socket.IO (cooperative/competitive for up to 4 players), deployed smart contracts on Flow Testnet (ERC721 NFTs, ERC20 tokens), integrated wallet connectivity with RainbowKit, created settings and customization options, and documented the project. The game features on-chain score storage, token rewards ($DGN), immutable achievement tracking, and a full multiplayer experience with real-time synchronization. All contracts are deployed and functional on Mantle Testnet.
