Smart Cross-Border Remittances, Send money globally with AI-powered FX hedging. Minimize volatility risk while maximizing recipient value through intelligent hedge ratios on Arbitrum
ReMiT is a next-generation AI-driven remittance platform built on the Arbitrum blockchain that protects cross-border transfers from volatile currency fluctuations. Today, millions of migrant workers and global businesses lose money during cross-border transfers due to sudden FX rate changes. ReMiT solves this by combining AI predictive hedging with low-cost blockchain payments.
🔹 Core Problem:
Traditional remittances suffer from high fees (up to 7%), slow settlement times, and unpredictable currency volatility.
Migrant workers often send money home but lose value because of sudden rate dips.
Businesses handling global payrolls also face unpredictable losses.
🔹 ReMiT’s Solution:
AI Predictive Hedging – ReMiT uses machine learning models (LSTMs + reinforcement learning) to forecast short-term FX volatility and suggest the optimal time to execute transactions.
Stablecoin Settlement – Users remit funds via stablecoins (USDC/USDT) on Arbitrum, bypassing traditional SWIFT/forex intermediaries.
Smart Hedging Pools – Users can lock remittances into a hedging smart contract that automatically optimizes conversion timing to minimize losses.
Instant & Low-Fee Transfers – Built on Arbitrum One for high-speed, low-cost, scalable transactions.
Transparent Dashboard – Senders & receivers can track wallet balances, AI predictions, and hedge performance in real time.
During the hackathon, we successfully built the core MVP of Predictive RemitNet (ReMiT), deploying hedging smart contracts on Arbitrum Sepolia with Hardhat + Solidity, and integrating them into a modular React/Next.js frontend connected via Ethers.js. The backend was developed using Node.js and Python, where Python powered the AI model for real-time FX volatility predictions and Node handled API/oracle integrations. We implemented wallet connection, stablecoin remittance flows, and a clean UI showing wallet balance, AI forecasts, transaction history, and hedging options. While the prototype demonstrates stablecoin-based remittances with AI-driven send/wait recommendations, ongoing work includes multi-currency support, liquidity provider onboarding, and preparing for Arbitrum One mainnet deployment.
Seeking grant funding from Arbitrum ecosystem to bootstrap liquidity pools. Targeting partnerships with global remittance platforms and NGOs supporting migrant workers.
