Bin Buddy

Objective: The objective is to create a web-based platform to efficiently manage and track waste collection and disposal on a college campus. The system will enable users to report full bins, track waste generation, analyze waste management data, and raise awareness about proper waste segregation.

System Overview: The waste tracking and reporting system will consist of the following features:

User Role Management:

Admin Panel: For waste management staff to manage waste reports, assign waste collection duties, and track overall campus waste statistics. User Panel: Allows campus users to report full bins or suggest locations where new bins should be installed.

Waste Report Submission: Users can report when waste bins are full by submitting a form with location details and optionally attaching photos. The system will automatically notify the waste collection team about the full bins.

Waste Collection Dashboard: The admin can view all reported full bins, their locations, and photos. Waste management staff can mark bins as "collected" after clearing them, which updates the status in real time.

Analytics and Reports: The system will display reports and charts on the volume of waste generated across different campus areas. Insights on waste trends (e.g., areas with the most waste, time periods of high waste generation) will help optimize collection routes.

Awareness Section: The website can feature information and guidelines on waste segregation, recycling tips, and the environmental impact of waste. Educational quizzes or challenges can be included to engage students in learning about proper waste disposal.
