Location: Philippines - Angeles (Pampanga)
Schedule: Night Shift
Job Description:
A Payment Processor is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely payment of customer bills to their respective billers. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of billing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process customer bills, ensuring timely payments to designated billers.
- Verify and ensure that all payment details are correct before authorizing transactions.
- Perform thorough cross-checking of billing information against payment records to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors in bill payments promptly.
- Implement procedures to minimize errors in bill processing, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- Monitor payment processes to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Communicate effectively with customers, billers, and internal teams to resolve any billing inquiries or issues.
- Provide timely updates to the escalations-payments team members or to the team lead regarding the status of their bill payments.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all bill payments and related transactions.
- Ensure documentation is readily available for audit purposes and management review.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to bill processing.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualification and requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience in bill processing, accounting, or a similar financial role.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Can work according to New York time zone requirements.
- Amenable to changes in schedule on a monthly basis, including availability for day shifts, mid shifts, and overnight shifts
Non-negotiable skills & requirements:
- Experience in bill processing, accounting, or a similar financial role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work according to New York time zone requirements
- Flexibility to adjust to schedule changes monthly, including day, mid, and overnight shifts, including weekend and PH Holiday shifts
