Homeward is a self-service migration protocol that lets Arbitrum Nova ETH holders move their ETH to Arbitrum One through the canonical bridge path without having to separately fund Ethereum L1 gas
Homeward is a self-service ETH migration protocol that simplifies the canonical Arbitrum Nova → Ethereum → Arbitrum One migration flow. Users authorize their migration once on Nova, including their destination wallet, maximum deductions, executor reward, and minimum delivery amount. A gas-advancing worker then coordinates the canonical withdrawal, Ethereum-side execution, and Arbitrum One retryable flow while the contracts enforce isolated job accounting and user-defined limits.
Homeward removes the need for users to separately manage Ethereum L1 gas and manually return to complete each stage of the canonical migration process.
During the hackathon, we built the full Homeward stack from the ground up, including:
Nova migration entry smart contract
Ethereum completion/router contract
Automated TypeScript execution worker
Arbitrum retryable-ticket monitoring
Web frontend for creating and tracking migrations
Self-service recovery CLI
Arbitrum Sepolia and Ethereum Sepolia deployments
Unit, fuzz, invariant and fork-simulation tests
CI/CD and Slither security analysis
Live testnet application and migration-tracking interface
The architecture is focused specifically on native ETH migration using Arbitrum's canonical bridge infrastructure.
