Xorv lets anyone rent out the idle quota on the AI subscription they already pay for (Claude, Codex, Grok) and get paid per job in Paxos USDG on Arbitrum. A provider runs one command, xorv start. Their machine then takes jobs from strangers inside an OS sandbox that keeps their keys and files out of reach. A buyer can be a person in the browser, a terminal, or an AI agent over MCP. The buyer pays per job with a single EIP-3009 signature: no gas, no account, no API key.
Paying a stranger for compute usually means one side has to trust the other. Xorv removes that with XorvEscrow on Arbitrum. The buyer's signature funds the escrow, not the provider. When the result arrives, the escrow pays the provider and records the result's SHA-256 next to the payment. If the job fails, the escrow reassigns or refunds it, and if nobody settles by the deadline, anyone can refund the buyer. Every settlement also writes the provider's outcome into XorvRegistry, a Rust contract on Arbitrum Stylus, so reputation can't be claimed, only earned. Payments use x402 (HTTP 402) with an added escrow scheme: one signature commits to the amount, the token, the job and its refund deadline, so it can't be front-run or redirected.
Built Sep 29 – Oct 4:
XorvEscrow (Solidity): fund, release, refund, reassign and a permissionless refund after the deadline. 54 tests, including fuzz tests and 4 invariants, plus fork tests against the real Paxos USDG and Circle USDC.
XorvRegistry (Rust on Arbitrum Stylus): on-chain provider reputation, written by the escrow in the same transaction. 47 Rust tests.
An x402 escrow payment scheme.
Broker, CLI, MCP server and web app ported to Arbitrum, settling in USDG.
A full local Nitro dev-node stack; testing on it found and fixed a sandbox hole, a gas-estimation gap and a double-pay race.
Deployed live on Arbitrum Sepolia (broker on Railway, sites on Vercel), with real paid jobs settled through escrow and receipts on chain.
Not fundraising (bootstrapped, open source)
