Smart Contract Engineer

Key Responsibilities​

• Build and audit smart contracts (initially leveraging your DeFi expertise, with support to transition to Move) for:
• Lending: Collateral logic, interest rate models, liquidation mechanisms, and risk frameworks.
• LST: Staking workflows, reward distribution, token minting/burning, and redemption logic.
• Vaults: Yield aggregation, automated rebalancing, and fee structures.
• Apply your DeFi knowledge to optimize capital efficiency, security, and user experience across products.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate with Sui’s ecosystem (oracles, staking providers, external protocols).
• Identify and mitigate DeFi-specific risks (e.g., oracle manipulation, liquidity fragmentation, incentive misalignment).

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+years of hands-on DeFi protocol experience (lending, staking, yield vaults, or AMMs) – this is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in smart contract languages: Solidity (preferred) or Rust (strong plus); Move experience is a bonus but not required.
• Deep understanding of DeFi primitives: collateralization, interest rate models, liquidity pools, tokenomics, and risk management.
• Familiarity with smart contract security best practices (reentrancy, access control, gas/execution optimization).
• Experience with DeFi development tools (Hardhat, Foundry, or equivalent) and testing frameworks.
• Eagerness to learn Move (we’ll provide resources/mentorship) and adapt DeFi patterns to Sui’s ecosystem.
