Role: Bookkeeper
Work Arrangement: Work from Office
Location: Any CS Site – Ortigas, Makati, Angeles, Mabalacat, Cebu, Davao
Schedule: Night Shift
Description:
The Work-From-Office setup is based in Angeles, Cebu, Mabalacat, Makati, or Ortigas.
We are looking for an individual with strong attention to detail and high organizational skills to maintain original entries into QuickBooks Online (QBO) in areas including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, using classes, customer fields, and items to track financial activity.
Demonstrating professional communication skills and competent Excel skills, along with a desire to expand expertise, will allow for expanded work content. Bookkeeping or accounting experience is preferred.
The monthly work cycle typically has higher volumes of deadlines during the first two weeks of the month. Depending on skill level, workload may increase. Training will be provided where needed.
Communication skills are critical for success, especially written and verbal communication in a fully remote environment, including comfort with video meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with 3–5 team members maintaining original entries into QBO
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations in QBO
- Prepare journal entries in QBO
- Utilize Customer and Class features for reporting in QBO
- Perform account reconciliations in Excel
- Use Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Teams
- Gather and organize data to perform job functions
- Identify and communicate obstacles in a timely and clear manner
- Perform duties with professional curiosity while linking data to business operations
- Adapt to varied accounting technology platforms (Bill.com, QBO, Bill & Spend/Divvy)
- Assist directors with data projects as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experienced bookkeeper with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Bill.com experience required
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet goals
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Maintain flexibility with remote staff while meeting deadlines, which may require non-standard work hours (before 9 AM or after 5 PM)
- Non-profit experience is not required but strongly preferred
- On-the-job training in industry accounting standards, regulatory compliance, and niche accounting systems provided as needed
Non-Negotiable Skills & Requirements:
- Experienced bookkeeper with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- QuickBooks Online experience required
- Bill.com experience required
