Position: Senior BA / Scrum Master

Location: Remote (Philippines)

This is a full-time remote position based in the Philippines and requires meaningful overlap with U.S. time zones.

Contract Duration: 6 months+ (with potential extension)

Salary: Up to PHP 150,000 per month (can be higher)

Interview Process: Virtual | 3 Interview Rounds

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst / Scrum Master to lead business analysis initiatives while facilitating Agile delivery across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has strong stakeholder management skills, experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments, and a proven ability to drive successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and process flows.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support delivery readiness activities such as intake management, backlog prioritization, dependency tracking, and UAT coordination.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and leadership.
  • Manage stakeholder communication and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Support enterprise system enhancements and modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 7+ years of Business Analysis, Product Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Software Delivery experience in enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, validation, and business process analysis.
  • Strong experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with:
  • Scrum facilitation
  • Jira story creation
  • Backlog management
  • Agile ceremonies
  • Cross-functional delivery leadership
  • Experience working in or supporting mainframe environments, including exposure to:
  • COBOL
  • VSAM
  • DB2
  • CICS
  • APIs
  • Legacy integrations
  • Cloud modernization initiatives
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum certifications such as:
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • SAFe Scrum Master
  • CSPO or PSPO
  • Proficiency with:
  • Jira
  • Confluence
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word
  • Visio or Lucidchart
  • Power BI
  • SQL
  • Strong risk management and prioritization skills.
  • Experience working with distributed global teams across multiple time zones.
