During the hackathon, we successfully built the core architecture of TruthStream and brought our vision to life with a real-time, AI-powered news dashboard. Key milestones achieved: 📡 Live Data Streaming: Integrated real-time news ingestion from RSS feeds, Twitter, and NewsAPI using Fluvio, enabling continuous flow of breaking headlines. 🧠 AI-Powered Sentiment + Emotion Detection: Implemented Groq for lightning-fast sentiment and emotion analysis, and integrated Whisper for audio transcription to handle user-uploaded audio clips. 🔗 Blockchain Logging: Built a pipeline to mint key news items on the Monad blockchain, storing sentiment, source, and timestamp for permanent verification. 🖥️ Interactive Frontend Dashboard: Developed a React-based dashboard featuring: Live news feed with sentiment tags Emotion trend graphs by topic and region Search and smart filtering by emotion, bias, region, and time 🧪 Testing + Feedback Loop: Collected test data and refined emotion detection and bias classification logic through multiple iterations. Despite the time constraints, we delivered a working prototype that fuses real-time data, advanced AI analysis, and blockchain verification — a solid foundation for a fully production-ready tool.
