ETour - On-Chain Tournament Protocol

ETour is a fully on-chain open-source tournament framework for developers, with three complete games already live on Arbitrum One.

Developers implement their game’s deterministic rules. ETour supplies the surrounding infrastructure: lobbies, enrolment, matchmaking, brackets, round progression, draw handling, anti-stall resolution, player history, and automatic ETH payouts fully on-chain.

No house edge. No token. No admin keys. Nothing to trust except the contracts themselves.

Every match, every move, every tournament, every payout is a public transaction on the blockchain.

1. Built to reward developers

Building a competitive game means building more than its rules. Developers also need to manage players, resolve abandoned matches, account for entry fees, and distribute prizes.

ETour provides that reusable tournament layer so developers can focus on their game and player experience.

The framework is free to use. Blockchain deployment and transaction gas costs still apply.

For each tournament, entry fees are split:

• 95% goes to the prize pool.

• 5% goes to the game developer (not to ETour’s creator).

Developers build and operate their own games using the same infrastructure demonstrated by ETour’s live implementations.

2. Three playable games demonstrate the framework

• Tic-Tac-Toe

• Connect Four

• Chess, including castling, en passant, promotion, the fifty-move rule, and threefold repetition.

Together, these demonstrate the tournament framework across games with different rules and levels of complexity.

Players enrol with ETH, compete through on-chain moves, and advance through the bracket. Contracts enforce results and distribute prizes. Timeout and recovery mechanisms handle inactive or uncooperative players.

No ETour token. No custodial account balance. No administrator who can change a result. ETH in, ETH out.

3. Tested and verifiable

Over 500 passing automated tests cover game rules, tournament progression, draws and walkovers, timeout escalation, state isolation, player history, and prize accounting including failed transfers.

4. Why Arbitrum

Every move is an on-chain transaction. Arbitrum One provides the inexpensive execution and fast confirmations needed for repeated gameplay, with public verifiability and Ethereum-based settlement.
