Our project introduces a blockchain-based rental deposit management and proof system designed to make the rental process transparent, secure, and dispute-resilient.
When a tenant moves into a new home, both the tenant and landlord can agree to upload property details—such as the deposit amount, house layout, and photos—through an intuitive web interface. The tenant can also choose a yield-generating platform for the deposit during the rental period. Once both parties confirm, the agreement is recorded on the Monad testnet using MetaMask Smart Accounts for secure, gasless, and flexible interactions.
If an agreement cannot be reached, the tenant can still record evidence (including a signed physical contract) on-chain to serve as immutable proof. The system also includes conflict creation and verification flows: when a dispute arises, the deposit can automatically be transferred to the landlord’s wallet while the tenant retains on-chain proof for legal resolution.
Built with JavaScript, MetaMask Smart Accounts, and deployed on the Monad testnet, the project demonstrates how decentralized technology can enhance trust and fairness in real-world rental relationships.
