描述

Beam is a next-generation financial rail built to use the full capabilities of AI and blockchain. It streamlines how people and software accept and send payments: one-time flows with multi-payer splits, automated billing via on-chain recurrent transactions, QR-based checkout for merchants, and agent-native commerce with x402 micropayments, 0G Storage for durable off-chain payloads, and TEE-backed 0G compute where verification matters.

This submission aligns with Track 3 — building the financial and service layer for the AI era: financial rails (micropayments, automated billing, revenue-sharing), plus AI commerce (agent marketplaces, pay-per-resource access, agent-to-agent collaboration).

How it works

Beam combines on-chain settlement (one-time and recurrent payments, splits, merchant identity) with HTTP 402–style paid resources (x402) so agents and apps can charge per request, per resource, or per conversation without standing up a full traditional payments stack.

Merchants can accept payments with QR codes and familiar flows; customers can scan, pay, and share the bill across co-payers. Merchants can also deploy sales agents in minutes — logic and policy anchored on-chain, with TEE-backed inference on 0G where the stack requires private or attestable compute. 0G Storage holds app and payment-adjacent assets (for example x402 file resources and encrypted payloads addressed by root hash) so delivery stays decentralized and content-addressed instead of locked in a single host’s database.

Agents can speak x402: they initiate and complete micropayments, and can coordinate split payments with other agents that care about the same topic or resource — paying together to unlock protected or premium APIs, files, or links. The intent is a world where a sales AI can replace days of e-commerce setup for simple discovery-to-purchase journeys, while the money movement stays explicit, programmable, and chain-compatible.

The Problem

  1. AI-native commerce is under-tooled. Models and agents need to pay and get paid per action, per API call, or per gated resource. Card rails and manual invoicing are a poor fit for high-frequency, low-value, machine-initiated flows.

  2. Splits and subscriptions are still heavy. Group purchases, shared subscriptions, and multi-party settlement usually mean off-chain spreadsheets or bespoke integrations — not a single composable primitive merchants and wallets can rely on.

  3. Merchants pay a high “storefront tax.” Standing up catalogs, checkout, and support channels is slow. Shoppers still bounce between chat, links, and checkout. There is no unified rail that treats humans and agents as first-class payers.

  4. Trust and access for premium resources. Sellers of data and APIs need payment + authorization in one step; buyers need clear pricing and instant access after payment — ideally in a way agents can negotiate autonomously without leaking secrets.

  5. Centralized file and metadata hosting. Paid downloads, agent knowledge, and large artifacts still default to opaque URLs and provider-specific buckets. A decentralized storage layer pairs naturally with on-chain settlement and x402 so access is gated while bytes live on durable, verifiable infrastructure.

The Solution and Value Proposition

Beam is a financial rail for the agentic economy:

  • On-chain primitives for one-time payments, recurrent billing, and splits across multiple payers — so settlement rules are transparent and automatable.

  • Merchant-friendly acceptance via QR and app flows, lowering friction for in-person and remote checkout while preserving composable payment data for wallets and agents.

  • x402 integration so resources can return 402 Payment Required, resolve through a facilitator, and unlock paid HTTP/API and file access — the natural protocol layer for micropayments and agent-to-service billing.

  • Merchant-deployable agents that act as always-on sales representatives, grounded in merchant configuration and capable of returning structured payment intents (on-chain transfers and x402 flows) for the client to execute.

  • 0G Storage for uploading, indexing, and retrieving blobs and paid content (including flows that reference storage by root hash), keeping heavy data off-chain while payment and policy stay on-chain or in x402 headers.

  • 0G-aligned settlement and compute (e.g. facilitator network on 0G EVM) plus TEE-backed AI compute where inference or policy needs isolation and attestability alongside open commerce.

Together, this is “financial rails + AI commerce”: not only moving money, but binding payment to access so agents can discover, pay, and use premium resources in one loop — with bytes on 0G Storage and rules on-chain or in protocol.

Key Benefits

For merchants

  • Faster time-to-revenue: QR and streamlined flows reduce operational overhead compared to stitching together separate PSP, subscription, and split tools.

  • Programmable billing: Recurrent on-chain patterns support subscriptions and repeat business without ad-hoc reconciliation.

  • Agent-as-sales-channel: Deploy an agent that explains catalog, pricing, and x402-gated offers without rebuilding a full storefront.

  • Decentralized delivery: Gate files and large artifacts via x402 while storing payloads on 0G Storage — less reliance on a single proprietary file host for what customers paid for.

  • Composable settlement: Splits and clear pay-to addresses support revenue-sharing and multi-party deals as first-class scenarios.

For users

  • Simple pay experience: Scan, confirm, optionally split with co-payers — fewer opaque hops.

  • Transparent rules: Amounts, recipients, and recurrence tied to verifiable on-chain and protocol-level semantics where the product exposes them.

  • Durable access after pay: Purchased or unlocked content can be resolved from 0G Storage by content address, aligning receipt of goods with the same decentralized stack as settlement.

  • Chat-to-pay continuity: Natural language and structured payment payloads can coexist so people are not kicked into unrelated checkout silos.

For agents

  • Native micropayments via x402: Pay for APIs, files, and links using protocol-native 402 flows and client libraries — suited to high-frequency agent spend.

  • Collaborative splits: Multiple agents can coordinate payment toward the same resource or topic to unlock shared access.

  • Clear payment types: Distinct handling for plain text, x402 resource flows, and on-chain transactions keeps automation safe and parseable for clients and facilitators.

  • Storage-native artifacts: Agents and backends can use 0G Storage references so large context, files, and encrypted bundles are not forced through the chain — only hashes and payment paths need to be compact.

  • TEE-backed compute when needed: Sensitive reasoning or policy can run in attested environments on 0G-class infrastructure, aligned with trust-minimized commerce.
