  What is Vestia?

Vestia is a cross-chain bridge designed for regulated assets.
It lets compliant tokens move across blockchains in seconds and still behave like normal DeFi tokens — without manual approvals, re-KYC, or breaking compliance rules.

The Problem We Are Solving

Today, regulated assets (like RWAs or permissioned tokens):

1. Move too slowly across chains
   Secure bridges take 30–60 minutes, which is unusable for treasury operations and DeFi.

2. Break DeFi composability
   Compliance tokens (ERC-3643) enforce identity checks on every transfer, causing DEXs and DeFi protocols to fail.

3. Lose compliance after the first transfer
   KYC is usually wallet-based and done once. After tokens move, compliance is no longer enforced.

4. Do not scale operationally
   Manual approvals or centralized custodians cannot handle high-volume, cross-chain activity.

Result:
Regulated capital stays idle, off-chain, or locked in silos.

How Vestia Solves This ?

1. ZK-Based Compliance (Automation + Privacy)

Before a bridge is approved, Vestia verifies compliance using zero-knowledge proofs:

• The user owns a valid KYC soulbound NFT

• The KYC is not expired or revoked

• The jurisdiction and asset rules are satisfied

This proof:

• Auto-approves the bridge (no manual review)

• Reveals no personal data

• Scales to high throughput

Compliance is enforced by code, not trust.

2. ERC-3643 Wrapper (DeFi Compatibility)

ERC-3643 tokens cannot be used directly in DeFi or bridged safely.

Vestia solves this by:

• Keeping the original ERC-3643 token anchored on the source chain

• Wrapping it into a compliant ERC-20 representation

• Bridging only the wrapped ERC-20

On the destination chain:

• DeFi sees a normal ERC-20

• Compliance is still enforced at transfer time

• Asset origin is provable via bridge registry

This allows regulated assets to:

• Trade on DEXs

• Move across chains

• Remain legally constrained
