Pesa Token is a crypto payments platform that lets users and merchants to quickly start making and receiving blockchain payments with ease. Our hackathon project, ChainAfric, allows anyone with either a custodial or non-custodial wallet to track their addresses on the blockchain and receive real-time alerts and notifications for blockchain activity such as transactions and contracts in their native pre-selected language. We also provide a multi-lingual blockchain explorer where users can lookup addresses and transactions on the blockchain and view related data in their native language for ease of understanding and accessibility.

Steps:

Open the live link. You will be prompted to sign in with Google.
Complete sign in with Google. You will be redirected to the dashboard explorer.
Use the explorer to search for an address or transaction.

During the 5-day sprint we went from scratch to a working prototype deployed on the live link provided. Our team managed to put together the different features such as user authentication, wallet integration from different providers, address tracking on multiple blockchains, and most importantly, the crypto translation engine that allows delivery of alerts, notifications and articles content in more than 10 native African languages such as Swahili, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, Zulu, Xhosa and Tswana.
