During the hackathon, our team made significant strides in bringing PathFinder – Student Career Guidance to life. With a clear focus on solving real-world student career dilemmas, we followed a goal-oriented development plan and achieved the following: 🔧 Frontend Development Designed a clean, responsive UI using React.js, ensuring a user-friendly and visually appealing experience. Implemented interactive forms for student data input (academic interests, skills, personality traits, etc.). Integrated dynamic career suggestion charts using charting libraries for better visualization. Added a real-time recommendation dashboard for instant career insights. 🧠 Backend Development Built a robust backend using Python (Flask) to handle data processing and logic. Developed the career recommendation engine using rule-based and basic ML logic to match student profiles with suitable careers. 📊 Feature Integration Implemented PDF report generation with career recommendations and roadmap. Integrated email functionality to send personalized reports directly to students. 🤖 AI/ML Capabilities Integrated a basic AI model that analyzes student input and suggests career options based on interest clusters and skill patterns.
