System Administrator

1. Directly assists users by answering technical questions concerning hardware and software systems.
2. Regularly monitors the ticketing system and processes tickets to resolve issues promptly.
3. Delegates tickets to co-department employees and/or other departments depending on the appropriateness of the tickets.
4. Ascertains line, network, and software characteristics desirable for the applications of company systems.
5. Researches and identifies hardware and software alternatives for handling present and future requirements.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate of a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Must have at least one (1) year of working experience in the related field.
3. Must have a good understanding of logic, computer organization and architecture, computer security and auditing, operating systems, databases, and network protocols.
4. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair computers and peripherals.
5. Must be familiar with Linux/Unix environments.
6. Must have experience in script writing or tool development using Bash, Python, Ruby, or Perl.
7. Must have strong knowledge of network design and structured cabling, database, and web administration.
8. Must have a strong desire to learn new skills and adapt them to a rapidly changing industry.
