Chess Flip Game is a blockchain-based memory matching game built with React and Solidity. Play, and match pairs of chess piece cards.
Chess Flip Game is a blockchain-based memory matching game built with React and Solidity, deployed on the Lisk Sepolia Testnet. Players connect their MetaMask wallet, pay 0.001 ETH to play, and match pairs of chess piece cards (e.g., ♟, ♞, ♝, ♜, ♛, ♚). The game tracks lives (4 attempts) and rewards players with 0.002 ETH for matching all 10 pairs (win) or 0.0005 ETH for losing all lives. The smart contract ensures secure gameplay, reward distribution, and leaderboard tracking
1. Smart Contract Development: Designed and deployed a secure Solidity smart contract on the Lisk Sepolia Testnet, implementing game logic for card matching, lives tracking, and ETH reward distribution (0.002 ETH for wins, 0.0005 ETH for losses). 2. Built an intuitive user interface using React.js, enabling seamless gameplay with a grid of chess piece cards (♟, ♞, ♝, ♜, ♛, ♚) and real-time updates for lives and match status. 3. Wallet Integration: Integrated MetaMask wallet connectivity using Ethers.js, allowing players to securely connect, pay the 0.001 ETH entry fee, and receive rewards transparently via the smart contract. 4. Styling and User Experience: Styled the game with Tailwind CSS, creating a sleek, responsive design with visually appealing card animations and a leaderboard for an engaging player experience.
Current Stage: Pre-seed / Prototype Development. Funding Raised: $0 (Self-funded / Hackathon-driven). Funding Approach: The Chess Flip Game is currently a hackathon project developed to demonstrate a fair, transparent, and engaging blockchain-based gaming experience. No external funding has been raised to date, as the project has been self-funded by the team for the HackQuest Tech Fairness Hackathon. The smart contract, built with Solidity, ensures fair reward distribution (0.002 ETH for wins, 0.0005 ETH for losses) and transparent gameplay on the Lisk Sepolia Testnet, aligning with the hackathon’s emphasis on tech fairness. Moving forward, we aim to seek pre-seed funding or grants to scale the project, enhance user accessibility, and integrate additional fairness-driven features, such as gasless transactions for broader participation. Potential funding avenues include blockchain hackathon grants, Web3 accelerators, or community-driven crowdfunding via platforms like Gitcoin to support further development and mainnet deployment.
