Description
Cryptoun — Send crypto as easily as sharing a PDF
Cryptoun transforms USDC and EURC on Arbitrum into redeemable digital vouchers. No need to ask for wallet addresses or worry about gas fees—just create a PDF coupon, share it anywhere, and let recipients claim funds to any wallet they choose.
How it works: Each coupon is backed by a dedicated Circle Developer-Controlled Wallet—one wallet per coupon, created at the moment of PDF generation. The sender picks an amount and a currency (USDC or EURC), and the system spins up a secure wallet tied to that specific coupon via a unique account name and salt. That wallet address and claim details are embedded directly into the PDF.
To redeem, the recipient opens the PDF, enters their destination wallet address, and submits the claim. The server looks up the coupon's Circle wallet, verifies the balance, and executes a signed transfer to the recipient. If they're claiming on Arbitrum, it's a direct transfer. If they want funds on another chain—like Base or Optimism—the system runs Circle's Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP): burning the tokens on Arbitrum, waiting for attestation, and minting the equivalent amount on the destination chain. The entire flow is gasless for the recipient; the coupon wallet covers all transaction costs.
Every coupon creation and claim is also recorded in a Registry smart contract deployed on Arbitrum, giving the whole system a transparent, verifiable onchain trai
Onramp integration for instant funding: Don't have crypto yet? No problem. Cryptoun integrates MoonPay and Transak so you can buy USDC or EURC with a card and fund your coupon in a single flow. Go from fiat to redeemable voucher in minutes.
Onchain transparency: Every coupon is backed by a smart contract registry that records creation, funding, and redemption events. The system is auditable, verifiable, and trustless—no black boxes, just provable onchain settlement.
