Web3 Gamified Social Learning Platform
A Block of Crypto is a gamified, social learning hub designed to help users learn and retain Web3 knowledge in a fun, rewarding, and community-first environment. Learners progress through bite-sized lessons ("CryptoBytes"), earn learning points (LP), and unlock hands-on missions to apply what they’ve learned. Completing missions earns them experience points (XP), and both LP + XP contribute to live leaderboards, badges, and unlockables.
The platform’s goal is to address the low completion rates and shallow engagement found in traditional learning management systems (LMSs) and task-based quest platforms. By structuring learning around progressive rewards, community interaction, and verifiable participation, A Block of Crypto bridges the gap between passive learning and active contribution.
Currently live with an MVP and over 1000 users, the platform is also being prepared for deployment on Open Campus Codex (EDU Chain) to enable verifiable proofs of learning and contribution — an essential step for onchain educational credentials.
Current Web3 education tools face three major problems:
High Dropout Rates – Completion rates in online learning average 5–15%, with even lower retention in crypto education.
Lack of Motivation – Static tutorials or “one-click quests” don’t promote deep understanding or sustained user growth.
No Verifiable Progress – Learners have no way to prove what they’ve done, especially in decentralized ecosystems.
The result: users dabble but don’t stick. Protocols struggle to educate users at scale. Communities waste time re-educating the same newcomers.
A Block of Crypto solves this with a structured, social gamified system designed for both education and engagement:
CryptoBytes – 20-minute interactive lessons grouped by category and skill level (Essentials → Advanced).
Learning Points (LP) – Earned by completing lessons and quizzes.
Missions – Unlocked based on LP, missions involve real-world application (e.g. setting up a wallet, using a DApp).
Experience Points (XP) – Earned by completing missions.
Leaderboards – Ranked by LP + XP, updated live.
Community Integration – Live meetups, a community hub, and public learner profiles.
Progress is tied to real understanding, not just clicks. With EDU Chain, we’ll bring this progress onchain using lightweight contracts, enabling Proof of Learning and Proof of Experience credentials.
Deploying A Block of Crypto on EDU Chain enables:
Onchain logging of mission completions
Credentialing of learners via NFT or XP scores
Collaborations with other EDU Chain builders using shared reputation layers
Interoperability with future Open Campus learning records
EDU Chain offers a high-throughput, low-fee, education-aligned environment — perfect for powering the next generation of Web3 learners with verifiable, decentralized records of achievement.

We made lots of progress. We have fully launched the learner dashboard, which gives learning detailed analtics on their learning journey, with personallised learning recommendations, and achievement details. We have also now added the placeholder for the online credentials. During the course of this hackathon we have also hosted 8 meetups with over 200 attendees from around the world and we have had a number of signups on the site with learning completing cryptobytes. We also started exploring smart contract and have issued some on the test net. Our smart contract tagged in the application logs proof of learning to EDU Chain by recording XP earned upon course or mission completion. It demonstrates the first step of our onchain integration and supports future credentialing, badges, and community stats
I have no funding, if I did, I would spend it on marketing and platform enhancements.
