Description
FlowWager is a prediction market platform built on Flow blockchain where people can bet real money on the outcomes of future events.
Simple explanation: If you think something will happen, you can put money on it. If you're right, you win money. If you're wrong, you lose money.
How It Works
Step 1: Someone Creates a Prediction Market
Question: "Will it rain in New York tomorrow?"
- Option A: "Yes, it will rain"
- Option B: "No, it won't rain"
Step 2: People Buy Shares
You think it will rain, so you buy "Yes" shares for 60¢ each
Your friend thinks it won't, so they buy "No" shares for 40¢ each
(Prices change based on what people think will happen)
Step 3: Event Happens
Step 4: Winners Get Paid
Your "Yes" shares become worth $1.00 each
You profit: $1.00 - $0.60 = $0.40 per share
Your friend's "No" shares become worth $0.00
They lose their $0.40 per share
