One of the main challenges we faced while developing Freex was making sure the platform is as easy to use as possible. Our goal is to help web2 users transition to web3 without any difficulties, so the experience truly feels effortless for them. However, we’ve already found a solution: by creating a user experience that’s easy for anyone to understand, even beginners can navigate our platform with confidence. Plus, we provide clear guidelines to help users every step of the way.
Progress During Hackathon
Progress During Hackathon – Freex. As a solo developer, I adopted the Sprint Method to organize and execute development tasks efficiently during the hackathon. Each sprint focused on building a critical part of the Freex platform while maintaining agility and adaptability in response to technical and UX challenges. Sprint 1: Ideation & Technical Planning Defined the vision for Freex as a seamless crypto payment gateway that bridges Web2 and Web3. Outlined essential features: multi-token support, real-time tracking, AI-powered payments, and secure integration using LI.FI and Circle CCTP. Designed system architecture covering the frontend, backend, and smart contracts. Sprint 2: Smart Contracts & Backend Foundation Developed and tested smart contracts using Solidity and Foundry, focusing on secure and auditable crypto payment logic. Built a Node.js backend implementing RESTful APIs to interact with the smart contracts and manage transaction states. Integrated external protocols (Circle CCTP, LI.FI) to enable secure cross-chain payment flows. Sprint 3: Frontend Development Built a responsive and accessible user interface using Next.js and TypeScript. Implemented core components: payment creation, wallet connection, and transaction status updates. Ensured UI was intuitive for Web2 users, with clear CTAs and simplified flows for onboarding. Sprint 4: Integration, Testing & Refinement Connected frontend to backend and smart contracts for full end-to-end functionality. Conducted user flow testing, fixed bugs, and improved error handling. Finalized API documentation, contract interfaces, and prepared for final demo. Conclusion Using the sprint method helped me maintain focus and momentum throughout the hackathon. Freex was developed with a clear emphasis on simplicity and usability, especially for first-time crypto users. My biggest challenge was abstracting away the complexity of Web3, which I addressed through clean UX, automation, and guided experiences.

Currently, Freex is in the early development stage and has not yet raised any external funding. As a solo founder, all development and infrastructure costs have been bootstrapped. We are open to future investment opportunities that align with our vision to scale the platform, improve security, and onboard more Web2 businesses into the Web3 ecosystem. Our ideal fundraising goal would focus on: Product development and smart contract auditing Marketing and user acquisition Strategic integrations with wallets, exchanges, and DAOs We believe that with the right partners, Freex can become a critical infrastructure piece for the growing crypto payment ecosystem.
