🛠️ Progress During Hackathon During the MetaMask Card Hackathon, our team went from concept to a fully functional prototype of MetaYield — a smart DeFi repayment planner for MetaMask Card users. Week 1: Ideation & Architecture We began by identifying a core user need — converting passive crypto yield into active card repayment. We scoped a modular system integrating MetaMask SDK, Circle’s USDC, and DeFi protocols like Aave and Compound, and started wireframing key components. Week 2: Frontend, Wallet, and Yield Dashboard We built and styled a responsive dashboard with wallet connection, asset tracking, and APY-based yield calculations. We integrated testnet data, enabled wallet authentication via QR, and built a mock auto-repayment planner. Week 3: AI Repayment Logic + Market Feed + Attestations We added our AI Repayment Engine that takes input from user risk preferences and spending targets to simulate repayment strategies. Real-time market data (crypto + stock) was added for user context. We implemented transaction history, Verax attestations, and an NFT-based reward tracker. Week 4: Polish & Pitch We integrated Linea support, enhanced UX with notifications and transitions, and designed a live demo experience. A full pitch deck, video walkthrough, and submission materials were prepared and finalized.
