PepasurMantle — On-Chain Mafia Game on Mantle

PepasurMantle is an on-chain, multiplayer Mafia-style social deduction game built on the Mantle EVM ecosystem. Players stake native MNT tokens, participate in strategic role-based gameplay, and receive trustless rewards enforced by smart contracts.

The core game settlement logic is deployed on Mantle Sepolia Testnet and handles staking, verification, and automatic payout distribution.

Pepasur uses a hybrid architecture where real-time gameplay and role secrecy are handled off-chain for performance, while economic finality and fairness are guaranteed on-chain using cryptographic verification. Game outcomes are signed by the backend and validated on-chain via ECDSA, ensuring that rewards are distributed transparently and without trust in a centralized authority.

This project demonstrates how social games can leverage blockchain for real economic incentives, secure settlement, and decentralized coordination, going beyond traditional Web3 gaming patterns.

Progress During Hackathon

Progress During the Hackathon During the hackathon, PepasurMantle evolved from a concept into a fully working on-chain game with a complete end-to-end flow. We designed and implemented the core smart contract on Mantle Sepolia to handle player staking, game resolution, and automatic reward distribution. In parallel, we built a real-time backend using Node.js and Socket.IO to manage matchmaking, role assignment, and game progression while preserving role secrecy off-chain. The frontend was developed with Next.js and wagmi, enabling seamless wallet connection, game creation and joining, live gameplay interaction, and on-chain settlement prompts. We integrated ECDSA-based server signing to securely bridge off-chain gameplay outcomes with on-chain verification. By the end of the hackathon, PepasurMantle had: A deployed and tested smart contract on Mantle A live, playable multiplayer game Secure stake-in, play, and payout flow A production-ready demo deployed publicly This progress demonstrates both technical depth and rapid execution under real-world constraints.

Fundraising Status

PepasurMantle is actively seeking funding to accelerate development and scale beyond the hackathon prototype. Funds are required to: Harden and audit smart contracts Improve real-time game infrastructure and scalability Expand gameplay features and on-chain mechanics Support long-term development, testing, and user acquisition The project is open to grants, ecosystem funding from Mantle, and early-stage investment aligned with Web3 gaming and on-chain social applications.
