Day 1: Curiosity and Courage
I stepped into this journey with a mix of excitement and uncertainty. I joined HackQuest not just to learn Web3 — but to live it. The first day was all about orientation: understanding the landscape, exploring the tools, and setting my intentions.
My biggest takeaway? It’s okay not to know everything — just start. It was only the beginning.
I want to sincerely thank our facilitator, Mr. Wycliffe Osano, who has been of great help in every aspect, guiding us through every townhall and keeping the energy alive.
Day 2-3: Overwhelm & Persistence
The sheer volume of content was overwhelming, to be honest. From unfamiliar terminologies to complex concepts, I felt like I was drinking from a firehose. But I reminded myself: confusion is the beginning of clarity.
I learned to pause, breathe, take notes, and break things down into smaller chunks. That helped me stay grounded and keep moving.
Day 4-5: Facing Friction
Every learning curve has a dip — and I hit mine. I misunderstood a concept, got stuck multiple times, and even doubted myself. One major setback was trying to install the Solana CLI on Windows. Since Solana works best on Unix systems, I had to first install WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux), then set up Ubuntu, and then install the CLI. It was frustrating and time-consuming, but I pushed through — and eventually, I made it work. This experience taught me that setbacks aren’t roadblocks — they’re part of the climb.
Day 6-7: The Shift
One week in, and I already feel the shift — in how I think, how I learn, and what I believe I can build. HackQuest gave me more than lessons; it gave me a mindset. The journey hasn’t been linear. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions and development, and I’m embracing every bit of it. I’m especially grateful for the opportunity to learn about the Eclipse ecosystem — a space I now understand better, and one I’m excited to explore even more.
As I look ahead to the next week, I feel more grounded, more curious, and more ready. I want to thank HackQuest for this incredible opportunity. I’ll keep showing up consistently — and eventually, I hope to emerge not just as a participant, but as a builder. #LearnwithHQ #7DaysOfLearning
