Rewriting the Rules of Creation

Welcome to the first FAIR3 Hackathon—a call to builders, rebels, dreamers, and decentralists. This is not just a competition. It’s a movement to rewrite the very rules of creation.

Why This Matters

FAIR3 was born from a simple belief: True innovation shouldn't be stifled by unfair systems.

In a world dominated by black-box algorithms, platform monopolies, and the slow erosion of creator value, FAIR3 is rallying teams and builders to co-create a new system:

• Rebuilding transparent algorithmic boundaries, not tolerating opaque control

• Returning true data ownership to users, not platforms

• Designing sustainable income mechanisms for individuals, not passive replacement

We build for those like Wang Xin (QVOD), Shawn Fanning (Napster), and the Tornado Cash developers—visionaries who challenged the system too early and sparked waves of change. Some were misunderstood, some pushed to the margins, some became symbols of unfinished revolutions. But their ideas live on.

This time, we build together—with and through the FAIR3 community.

Wang Xin—founder of QVOD and a pioneer of P2P video technology—is now a core member of FAIR3’s CTO circle. In his words:

The 4 Core Problems

1. Algorithm Transparency: If algorithms define our fate, how much choice do we really have?

2. Data Sovereignty: Who defines you—your actions or the platforms that own your data?

3. Sustainable Individual Income: In a world run by AI, what keeps humans economically alive?

4. Equal Alpha Access (with UnicornX): What if trading opportunities were a public good?

Main Track Awards

Total Prize Pool: 18,000 USD worth of FAIR3 tokens
9 winning projects will each receive 2,000 USD worth of FAIR3.

There are no fixed themes. If your project touches on "tech fairness," you're in. We welcome anything that translates the spirit of fairness into protocols, tools, community mechanisms, or expressive formats.

Suggested directions (not limited to):

• Algorithm transparency & explainability

• Data sovereignty & privacy protection

• Sustainable income models in the AI era

• Creator-owned infrastructure beyond platforms

• Reputation, identity & governance mechanisms

• Public narratives and memetic engines

• Innovative interactions combining AI and Web3

Projects will be judged on originality, practicality, impact, and relevance to the fairness theme.

FAIR3 Community Awards

Total Prize Pool: 10,000 USD worth of FAIR3 tokens
4 awards, each receiving 2,500 USD worth of FAIR3.

These awards honor projects that directly support the FAIR3 ecosystem. We’re seeking long-term collaborators committed to building the future of FAIR3.

Categories include (but are not limited to):

• Best Recycle System: Project reusability, scoring, and relaunch mechanisms

• Best Infrastructure Module: Governance UI, task boards, proposal systems, narrative tools

• Best Community UX Design: Smoother onboarding, collaboration enhancements

• Best Reputation & Metrics Mechanism: Quantifiable contribution scoring, trust & incentive systems

These awards can be won in addition to the main track prizes.

UnicornX Special Award

1 award, 2,000 USD worth of FAIR3 tokens

Honoring the most impactful project championing fair, community-driven, win-win growth within the UnicornX ecosystem — a decentralized trading platform where opportunity is shared, and value is created together.

Potential directions:

• Tools that empower communities to trade smarter, together

• AI-enhanced features like wallet analytics, signal routing, or market anomaly detection

• Integrations with UnicornX that promote fair access, governance participation, or on-chain collaboration

This award can be combined with other prizes and encourages builders who embrace transparency, fairness, and shared value.

After the Hackathon

Most hackathons end with demos. FAIR3 begins there:

• Winners enter the Recycle incubation track

• Teams earn governance rights & identity NFT

• FAIR3 integrates selected projects into its ecosystem
