Welcome to HackQuest! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HackQuest website (accessible at https://www.hackquest.io/), platform, developer education tools, hackathon coordination features, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

The Services and this website are owned, operated, and provided by D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. ("we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated under the laws of Singapore.

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using our Services. By creating an account, registering for a hackathon, accessing learning modules, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not access or use the Services.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: These Terms contain provisions that govern how claims between you and D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. are resolved, including an arbitration agreement, which will require you to submit claims you have against us to binding and final arbitration, unless you opt out or an exception applies.

Eligibility and Account Registration

To use certain features of the Services, you must register for an account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have received explicit parental/guardian consent if permitted by local law.

  • All registration information you submit is truthful, accurate, and current.

  • Your use of the Services does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or binding contract.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or suspected breach of security.

Developer Education and Platform Participation

HackQuest provides developer education, certification programs, and interactive learning journeys. While we strive to provide industry-standard resources, Web3 architectures, and practical developer tracks:

  • No Guarantee of Outcome: Completion of courses, certificates, or quests does not guarantee employment, funding, or specific financial returns.

  • Technical Accuracy: Web3 technologies, blockchain protocols, and smart contract frameworks change rapidly. We endeavor to keep materials updated but do not warrant that all code samples, tutorials, or architecture guides are completely error-free or compatible with the latest mainnet releases.

Hackathon Operations and Developer Competitions

When participating in, organizing, or submitting projects to hackathons, developer grants, or global cups hosted or co-organized via the HackQuest platform, you agree to the following operational parameters:

  • Submission Ownership: Unless specified otherwise in a dedicated competition rulebook, you retain the intellectual property rights to the original code and applications you create. However, by submitting a project, you grant D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. and the designated event co-organizers/sponsors a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, test, judge, and publicly showcase the submission.

  • Compliance and Fair Play: Plagiarism, submission of pre-existing work without disclosure, open-source license violations, or use of malicious code will result in immediate disqualification and potential account termination.

  • Prizes and Grants: Distribution of rewards, stablecoins, tokens, or developer grants is subject to compliance checking, including anti-sybil validation and, where legally mandated, Know Your Customer (KYC) or Sanctions screening compliance. D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. reserves the right to withhold prize distribution if required by local regulations or if structural event rules are breached.

Acceptable Use, Prohibited Activities, and Financial Compliance

You agree not to use the Services to engage in any of the following prohibited behaviors:

  • Violating any local, national, or international laws, including but not limited to financial regulations, banking laws, securities laws, and anti-money laundering (AML) / counter-terrorist financing (CTF) statutes.

  • Using the platform or associated payment/reward mechanisms to facilitate unauthorized financial transactions, fraud, or structuring transactions to evade regulatory oversight.

  • Deploying or testing malicious smart contracts, malware, ransomware, or exploits designed to compromise our platform, banking partners, or connected testnets/mainnets.

  • Engaging in automated scraping, data mining, or sybil account creation to artificially inflate participation metrics or manipulate campaign outcomes.

  • Infringing upon the intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary rights of HackQuest or any third party.

Intellectual Property Rights

The platform design, text, graphical elements, curriculum structure, branding, proprietary code bases, and software utilized in the Services are the exclusive property of D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Your use of the platform grants you a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to access the materials solely for personal, educational, and non-commercial developmental purposes.

Third-Party Protocols and External Ecosystems

The Services frequently interact with or link to third-party blockchain ecosystems, Layer 1/Layer 2 public networks, decentralized storage protocols, cloud infrastructures, and developer tools (e.g., GitHub, external RPC endpoints). D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. does not control, operate, or assume responsibility for the stability, transaction fees (gas costs), network congestion, smart contract risks, or software updates associated with these external decentralized ecosystems or third-party providers.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCURATE, OR ERROR-FREE.

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD., ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OR CONTRACTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR SMART CONTRACT COMPROMISE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless D'INTELLIGENCE LAB PTE. LTD. and its subsidiaries, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or privacy right.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this contract, including its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, or termination, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre in force when the notice of arbitration is submitted.

Modifications to Terms and Services

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page or via in-platform notifications. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease.
